How do we keep our inflatables risk-free and clean?
A question that is asked more often that not at the moment. COVID-19 has had an impact on many small business who have been hit hard and pushed into difficult times before readapting their business module, putting into place precautions and taking the necessary additional steps to help prevent the spread of this horrible virus.
In this news article, we thought it might be of some interest to share with you how it is we clean our inflatables and what makes them 99.9% risk-free from bacteria and viruses.
Our website providers have recently introduced a fantastic new feature that allows us to set buffer times on all available inflatables (currently set at three whole-days either side of the booking delivery date and end date). This helps us ensure we have enough time to thoroughly clean before its next out on hire, although we additionally clean upon delivery for extra peace of mind.
Here’s our cleaning procedure:
- We set-up the inflatable on dry land and leave to air out for a minimum period of an hour before spraying bio-san disinfectant on it and allow to settle. The bio-san kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses that may have been left on the inflatable within 5 minutes and is sprayed on neat.
- Once we believe it is then safe to do so, we then hoover the inflatable out to get rid of any such items like confetti or leaf drops (this helps us later on during the harder parts).
- Next, we use PVC material approved bouncy castle miracle cleaner, supplied from an industry specialist, which is sprayed all over the inflatable, left to absorb and then agitated with a soft brush. This gets rid of any marks, cleans the material up nicely and leaves a fresh cent ready for the next hire.
- Once all the dirt is removed and the material is cleaned, it’s next time to jet wash the inflatable. The jet wash gets into the area’s we may have missed with the brush and overall gives the inflatable a much thorough clean.
- As well as using high-fibre towels to dry off the unit after washing, we use a high powered air blower (different to the once used to inflate an inflatable) to get off excess water on the main bed of the inflatable.
- Finally, once completely dry, we re-sanitise the inflatable again with bio-san and leave to settle before packing down storing for next use.
- Upon delivery of your inflatable, we give the inflatable a once over with our bouncy castle miracle cleaner and sanitise again for your comfort in front of you.
The whole process overall takes around 3/4 hours to complete and honestly, it’s some hard graft doing it over and over. But we pride ourselves on the safety and comfort knowing that we’ve done our upmost to ensure your experience with us is 99.9% risk free from harm and you’re being delivered a clean, well presented inflatable from a business that put’s your safety first.
The products we use are industry specialised and they’re not cheap to replace. Hence why we’re happy to give discounts for multi-hire etc, but it’s really difficult for us to justify discounts when we believe our prices are fair and in-line with our competitors in the area.
Martin - Business Owner said ‘All of our team here do their best to ensure the inflatables we deliver are safe to use, cleaned as regular as possible and maintained to a high standard. In addition, we have capped the amount of hires we accept on a daily basis to allow the team extra time to do their job to their best ability and re-assure the customer that the users safety is our number one priority’.
He added: ‘I am extremely proud to be apart of a business that strives to succeed not only in our customer retention rate but the overall experience our business provides to our customers. Whilst it’s took a while to prepare the right steps to ensure what we deliver is exemplary, I am confident that every hire will be at it’s best’.

In addition the above procedures for cleaning inflatables, we have also introduced further measures to protect the team and customers, such as Contactless Deliveries, Hand-Sanitiser Stations in both our delivery vans and base, Gloves and Face-Masks (optional if requested by the customer) and the option to pay remaining balances by card only to prevent cash handling and exchanging notes.
We are constantly thinking of new ways to adapt our business and grow and welcome any suggestions or feedback you may be able to offer. You can submit feedback by using our ‘Contact’ page.
