Coronavirus update relating to new and existing bookings

COVID-19 is a new illness that can affect your lungs and airways. It's caused by a virus called coronavirus.

Updated as of Thursday 7th January 2021

Key Points:

  • We are still operating through this time, strictly contact-free and for your household only
  • All of our inflatables are quarantine for a minimum period of 24 hours between each use and are sanitised upon delivery and pick-up. We use a specialist spray that kills 99.9% bacteria and viruses with 5 minutes. This spray is left with the customer and can be used at any point through-out the hire.
  • All communication will be made through email / text message / phone
  • We are able to accept bookings both online and over the phone

As rules continue to change around the country, we’re doing everything we can to help our customers. We understand it’s a difficult time at the moment. However, it’s still important to celebrate special moments through-out life, even if it is in smaller numbers. Whilst we continue to operate through-out this lockdown period, we must stress it is on the basis of no-contact between us and the customer (this includes house-hold members).

We understand a lot of people may be concerned about either booking a party for a future date or their existing booking which is secured in our diary. We would like to reassure you that all new bookings now come with our ‘Book with Confidence Coronavirus Guarantee’ meaning should be we be unable to deliver your hire on the date you’ve chosen, you’ll have the option either move your hire date to a future date suitable for you, free of charge or receive a refund of any balances you may have paid against your booking.

The medical advice is:

* Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.

* Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

* Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

* Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

* Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily.

What are we doing as a business to prevent the spread of the virus?

An independent body has suggested the virus shouldn’t last on PVC materials such as bouncy castles for longer than 24 hours and that efforts should be taken upon collection of equipment using a light spray of disinfectant which is enough to kill most similar virus’ within 6-12 hours. As a precautionary measure, we are also delaying the ability to hire the same inflatable within a 3-day period (manually) which is the known maximum length of time the virus can survive on surfaces.

We advise all guests attending the organised event are advised to wash their hands thoroughly beforehand for a minimum of 20 seconds using antibacterial hand wash that has at-least 60% alcohol contents, as recommended by the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (C.D.C). This process should be done repeatedly throughout the hire of any inflatable at regular intervals by all attendees. Advice given is try not to touch your face - viruses that affect the respiratory system enter the body through mucosal membranes which are found in the nose, oral cavity and lips (Faith Karimi, 2020). You are more at risk through poor hand hygiene. Whilst we are responsible for the hygienic delivery of our staff and your inflatable, it is advised that the hirer ensures hand-wash is available for all guests and attendees of the event.

We are advising hirers to minimise the number of users of the inflatable allowable at any one time and do not exceed the number of recommended users guide attached to the inflatable, supplied by the manufacturer.

A close monitoring system of the inflatable and users should be prepared and coughs and sneezes that are not caught in a tissue should immediately be disinfected on the inflatable, allowing extra time for disinfectant to work. Users of the inflatable should be asked to step off the inflatable for a short period of time whilst this is done. The hirer is advised to wear gloves through-out this cleaning process.

These new email templates have been designed and created by Zunzo Inflatables, providing advice and guidance for all hirers and users of any inflatable hire. Whilst we cannot enforce you (the hirer) take the action suggested, we strong advise you follow it.

Advice for hirers organising a Stay at Home Hire:

The symptoms of coronavirus are; a cough; a high temperature; shortness of breath. But these symptoms do not necessarily mean you have the illness. The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu. (Coronavirus (COVID-19), 2020) Any attendee with any of these symptoms should be advised to stay at home and not attend your event. You are most contagious for the first 4 days. The self isolation time-frame given from the government to recover is 7 days. You do not need to be tested should your symptoms remain mild and do not need to contact 111. Only if you become concerned about worsening symptoms do you need to contact 111 or your local GP for advice. You are advised to use the internet for advice on the NHS website. Please communicate with your guests about COVID-19.

You should promote the daily practice of everyday prevention actions through verbal communication and posters at your venue or household. A simple reminder of good hygiene is a good effort to combat this outbreak and delay it’s spread.

You should promote messages that discourage people who are sick from attending your event. This should also include messages that request people leave your event should they begin to full unwell or have any symptoms of COVID-19.

If possible, identify a space that can be used to isolate staff or participants who become ill at the event.

Provide COVID-19 prevention supplies to event staff and participants. Ensure that your events have supplies for event staff and participants, such as hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol, tissues, trash baskets, disposable facemasks, and cleaners and disinfectants. Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects with detergent and water prior to disinfection, especially surfaces that are visibly dirty. (Coronavirus (COVID-19), 2020)

Currently, older adults and persons with underlying health conditions are considered to be at increased risk for severe illness and complications from COVID-19. You should consider providing alternative ways to celebrate to those who are unable to attend because of high risk categorisation. Consider flexible ways invitees can communicate with your event / party should they not be able to attend such as FaceTime. The internet is a valuable and powerful resource at this time of outbreak.

Advice for after your hire

Gather feedback from guests (if possible) to improve plans for your next event. Identify any gaps in the plans and any needs you may have for additional resources.

Your options

As long as we are able and willing to provide, our services will continue business as usual. It is therefore up-to the hirer to read our advice above regarding new and existing bookings and follow government guidance as advised on the NHS website.

Identify actions to take if you need to postpone or cancel events. We are fully supportive of your decision to prevent the spread of this virus and can support you in a number of ways, such as rearranging your hire date to an available date in the future. Don’t forget to inform your guests should you postpone or cancel your event.

The non-refundable deposit term is active on all bookings made and is non-negotiable unless in the unforeseeable future of this outbreak, we are unable to deliver our services. Hirers are (and always have been) able to transfer their paid deposit to another available future date in our calendar, within 12 months of the original hire date, at the management's discretion if they wish to postpone their event. This will occur a one-off £5.00 administration fee and the option to postpone a Hire is only available once for each booking made.

Cancellations (again, as they always have been) will occur full retainment of the hirer’s deposit minimum (25% of the total booking value) with no option of refund, other than balances higher than the 25% deposit where the difference is refundable, but an option of available transferable dates, as stated above.

Update:
We’ve introduced our Book with Confidence Guarantee which automatically now applied to all new and existing bookings. We realise we are living in uncertain times and wish to bring some positivity to our livelihood, providing a bouncy castle hire we can all look forward to (especially the kids). If your hire cannot go ahead because of the Coronavirus pandemic, we will offer a move of hire date to a date more suitable in the future, free of charge or a refund of any balances paid.

Our rights

We are registered as a sole trading business and have sub-contractors that assist our deliveries, but not necessarily are able to deliver alone (e.g. may not have a driving licence). If at any point through-out this outbreak, we are unable to deliver our services to you on a hire date you have chosen because of the coronavirus affecting us and our team, and we are NOT able and willing, we then reserve the right to cancel delivery of our services to you with immediate effect. Zunzo Inflatables remains the right to cancel up-to 3 hours prior to the delivery of your inflatable hire should we contract the virus, to prevent the spread. Hirers are advised to remember at this point that we have no immunity to this disease and that we are just as likely to catch it as you are. If that were the case, we would be unable to deliver your hire and our refund policy will be abolished until we are fully recovered and able to work again. The hirer will be refunded 100% of their paid balance back to their payment card used at time of booking within 10 working days. No cash alternatives are available. Optional transfer of available dates suggested at first instance.

As a community, we wish to support one another through-out this difficult time. We, as a business, will strive to provide the best and most hygienic inflatable play equipment we can for every hire. We will closely follow government advice and guidelines and should anything effetely concern us regarding either our business or your event, will endeavour to contact you.

We wish to thank you for your continued support and hope that this email brings some reassurance to yourself.
